Cloud Drive Mapper (CDM) 3.17 (Pre-release)
Release date: December 16, 2024
CDM client
Improvements
-
31761: CDM now supports upload visibility. This feature will allow admins to configure file upload settings via the User interface policy in Iris. These settings will determine the level of information their users will receive about their active and pending uploads.
-
31329: We've made significant improvements to the way CDM starts up. CDM will now utilize a caching mechanism that will allow it to mount drives significantly faster based on previous cache data. These improvements will also enable CDM to reduce throttling incidents by staggering when it obtains refreshed information for each user. Learn more
-
29559: CDM is no longer limited to mapping 999 SharePoint and Teams sites to Dynamic: OneDrive shortcuts, Dynamic: SharePoint, and Dynamic: Microsoft Teams drives.
-
29648: We've added additional information in the Trace log level to determine provider-specific issues more effectively.
-
31339: CDM offers improved support for distributing requests to Microsoft 365 to avoid throttling and clustering requests. We've also made additional changes that optimize how CDM recovers from Microsoft throttling.
-
31337: CDM can now store the drive cache used during startup in a central location to enable rapid drive mounting in environments that don't maintain user profiles.
-
29169: You can now change the log level from the Diagnostics menu. When you change the log level, CDM prompts you to select the duration for logging control. Available options include 1 hour, 24, 48, or 72 hours. This change will be effective immediately and does not require restarting CDM.
-
28188: CDM offers improved support for handling conflicts when it can't upload local changes to a file that is deleted remotely between now and the last sync.
-
30907: We've improved how you interact with a folder when a remote call by CDM to get folder permissions fails.
-
30924: CDM will not let you perform any operations (move, rename, or delete) on a read-only folder.
-
29867: If you're using Windows 11, version 23H1 or later, the CDM icon will always be visible in the system tray.
-
30960: We've improved how CDM starts up with an empty default mapping group, as it now takes the time needed to determine if you've deployed a mapping group key for custom mapping groups.
-
29539: We've made user experience improvements to the Active drives window when you enter an invalid license key while installing CDM.
Fixed bugs
-
31414: We've resolved the issue where, albeit rarely, CDM crashes during the upload process.
-
29134: We've resolved the issue preventing CDM from working with USGov, China, and Germany Azure data centers.
-
29447: We've resolved the issue related to the CDM icon in the system tray not displaying the correct number of issues (errors, conflicts, or both) when you hover over it.
-
30857: We've resolved the issue where a drive is not mounted correctly, but it still appears mounted and up to date in the Active drives window.
