Cleanup policy ID

The Cleanup policy controls how much cached file data CDM stores locally and in its database, and how long this data and related database entries are retained for each cloud storage location.

This helps to automatically remove old or unused items, manage local storage usage, and keep CDM running efficiently. A default cleanup policy, which you can edit anytime, is automatically assigned to all the mapping groups in your organization. Along with the default, you can also create 199 custom cleanup policies.

When you create a custom cleanup policy, we assign it a unique ID. This is a registry string value that informs CDM about the cleanup policy to apply to mapping groups in your organization at startup. If you want to assign different cleanup policies to different users within your organization, you must deploy this registry string value. While you can deploy it using an application deployment tool of your choice, this section provides information on how to do so through Group Policy (GPO) and Microsoft Intune.
