Direct: SharePoint site
A Direct: SharePoint site drive allows you to map a specific SharePoint site, subsites, document libraries, and folders within document libraries to a single drive letter. It works the same way as a local or network drive by allowing you to browse, open, copy, save, create, and delete files and folders from the mapped site, subsite, and document libraries with these.
CDM caches a list of the specific SharePoint site, subsites, document libraries, and folders within document libraries mapped to a Direct: SharePoint site drive. It only does this to avoid overburdening Microsoft services, which can adversely impact the performance of your Microsoft 365 tenancy. By default, CDM refreshes this list every 3 hours, meaning that changes to the SharePoint site, subsites, document libraries, and folders within document libraries will not reflect in your Direct: SharePoint site drive in real time.
If it is imperative that you see these changes reflected in your Direct: SharePoint site drive immediately, consider exiting CDM and signing in again. You can change this refresh interval by contacting our support team. However, as mentioned earlier, this may impact the performance of your tenancy.
