Cloud Drive Mapper (CDM) 3.24

Release date: September 14, 2026

End of Support for pre-release versions

Support for CDM’s pre-release versions (v3.19 and earlier) ended on April 16, 2026. Consequently, break-fix support, and contractual SLAs are no longer in effect. If you are still using a pre-release version of CDM, we recommend updating to the latest version.

CDM client

New feature

  • As an admin, you can now configure file cache and database performance options via the Cleanup policy in Iris. These settings help admins optimize CDM for their environments by providing greater control over cache retention, database size, and storage utilization. Learn more

Enhancements

  • You can no longer start CDM with elevated privileges. When you attempt to run CDM as an administrator, it will not start and instead prompt you to run it using a standard user account. We’ve put this safeguard in place to improve stability in multi-session environments.

  • We have upgraded CDM to Microsoft .NET Desktop Runtime 10.0, ensuring that CDM continues to benefit from platform support and the latest security, performance, and reliability improvements.

    Reference No: 41335

  • CDM now collects crash data more reliably, enabling faster root cause analysis, quicker resolution of stability issues, and improved overall desktop reliability.

    Reference No: 41377

  • CDM now retains file and folder timestamps more accurately when creating and updating content in SharePoint and OneDrive. This will not only help ensure metadata consistency but also reduce unnecessary versioning, resulting in a more reliable experience.

    Reference No: 42966

  • We have added an additional validation check to CDM’s offline startup capability. It now verifies that cached startup data also matches the license key associated with the user’s organization before an offline startup can occur. Learn more

We have fixed the issue where, during download, a file’s size differed between its local and remote versions, causing CDM to trigger a network error. CDM now refreshes the file-size metadata from the remote location, allowing the download to complete successfully on retry.

We have fixed the issue where users could not create a support package when not signed in to their Microsoft 365 account via CDM. Support package creation now works regardless of authentication status. However, when a user is not signed in, the generated package includes CDM log files only, ensuring that the IAM Cloud support team can still collect diagnostic information and investigate issues effectively.

  • We have fixed the issue that was causing CDM to create new provider cache folders on each login in a multi-Azure app setup. The provider cache will now be stored in a central CDM-managed location to ensure that it persists across sessions, reducing unnecessary API calls and the risk of throttling.

We have fixed an issue where users were experiencing problems interacting with Microsoft Office files within a document set. You will now be able to interact with Microsoft Office files correctly from within a document set, without requiring workarounds such as disabling co-authoring or enforcing document checkout.

CDM installer

Bug fixes

  • We have fixed an issue in which text in the CDM installer was obscured by a file list, making some installation-specific information difficult to read during an upgrade. Descriptive text will now display correctly and remain visible throughout the upgrade process.
